Geography: Belarus is 13th in size in Europe and covers area of 207,600 square kilometers. It borders Russia in the north and east, UkraineUkraine in the south, Poland in the west, Latvia and Lithuania in the north-west.
Climate: temperately continental, humid, average temperature in January –6 C and +18 C in July, about 550-700 mm of precipitations annually.
Religion: a mix of Eastern and Western Christianity.
